Percy sat up, tilting his head back and enjoying the feel of the sun on his skin. It had always followed him around, made him feel warm and happy. He wondered who the soul-mark on his hip was for, who his soulmate was, but deep down, he knew exactly who it was.
He knew how oblivious he could be. He knew how much he tried to shove the truth down, but it was becoming impossible to ignore. It was becoming impossible ignore that Apollo was his soulmate.
OR
A universe where soulmates exist; Percy is confused, Poseidon is keeping a secret, Apollo is curious, the gods are terrible, and the prophecy is much, much worse.

Summary
Apollo was having a perfectly good morning- right up until he vomited down the side of the sun chariot. Which was incredibly strange, if you asked him, because gods simply do not get sick.
As if that weren’t strange enough, an unintended meet-up with Percy Jackson in a Target parking lot revealed that the demigod was hearing prayers- something that Apollo was actually not responsible for, despite what Percy seemed to think.
Apollo didn’t need his prophetic powers to know this was going to be a looong day. But hey- at least he got to spend it with Percy. (Which, naturally, improved things considerably). -

Summary
Her son’s soulmark, the one held closest to his heart, had a soft, golden glow peeking out from underneath the medical bandages. The glow seemed to become brighter, though not overpowering. Soft, comforting light. It reminded her of the sun, in a way.
As her eyes adjusted, she found she couldn’t have been more right.
Over her son’s heart spells the name Apollo, in gold cursive. The font shimmered, almost glittering as her son shifted on the bed. Every stroke of every letter seems purposeful, carefully branding her son. Out from behind the name is the image of a sun. A lyre is also depicted, and if Sally pays close enough attention, the strings seem to move slightly, as though someone is playing it.
