Summary
“Ava. Ava Silva. I’m here to adopt, hopefully, a cat— I'd like to adopt a cat.”
Her words came out as jumbled as her thoughts and she mentally scolded herself for looking like a mess in front of the very hot British women.
Beatrice. Ava thought. The hot British woman’s name is Beatrice.
“Right.” Beatrice spoke, her eyes were narrowed slightly and the corners of her lips were turned up into a smile. “We’ve got plenty of those.”
Or,
Ava goes to adopt a cat and leaves with much more than she bargained for.

Summary
Beatrice had already been awake for almost one hour now and she had chosen to stay put beside Ava.
It was something she had become accustomed to, the brief period in the mornings where Beatrice woke before the alarm, something that Ava never seemed to do.
Not that Beatrice would ever complain about that.
No, this time was something Beatrice was thankful for. Something she wished she could draw out and extend to its furthest limit.
__
Based on the bedroom scene script.

Summary
Ava fiddled with the radio until she found a song she liked. She placed her hand on top of Beatrice’s which rested on her thigh. They drove the whole way home listening to the music and admiring the lights.
And it felt like a beginning. Like a scene in a romance movie she had watched one hundred times over. Beatrice had the girl she loved. She was here with Ava, and she loved her back. They had a future with a house and a cat and endless tomorrows.
Beatrice found herself thinking of all the points in their relationship where this could have happened. It was something she did frequently; considering the different outcomes had they mentioned their feelings at different times.
___
Conversations and confessions of things left unsaid and those that were said too late.
Inspired by the Lizzy McAlpine song of the same title
