    Summary

When Alhaitham writes a book with a protagonist based on himself, he doesn't expect to see his own character stripped bare by a fanfiction writer who "identifies really strongly" with his love interest.

Alhaitham found himself smiling as he cooked dinner that night, thinking back on his conversation with “alkavarzaray,” the random online stranger who understood him to a terrifying degree. Creating any sort of art and allowing it to be perceived is extremely intimate in itself, but the idea that this man had properly understood and absorbed most of what Alhaitham had put out there, baring his soul— It was something between incredible and horrifying.

really, really good. the characterization was spot on and the exploration of then trying their hardest (i especially liked haitham's thought of trying to make the effort to reach out mirroring what arman could have done) made me want to cry multiple times. im probably really affected because this also feels like what my current relationship is like (my boyfriend being really logical, and me being really emotional) and there were scenes when i could relate to either and both of haikaveh's thoughts. i couldn't put this fic down at all. thank you!

Diluc pinched the bridge of his nose, right where his migraines used to start. “To be clear, you slept with the Grand Master, Lohen, Rosaria, and God knows who else, all because you thought that I had maybe, one time, several years ago, slept with Varka? Did I get that right?”

He would try to make it sound unbelievably stupid.

    Summary

The bouquet is… modest. Which is to say: clumsy. A little wild, like it was plucked by someone who didn’t know what would match but wanted it all to mean something anyway. A riot of silvers and whites and blue-touched greens, the colors of the sea when it’s thinking of the sky. Some of the stems are uneven. The string binding them is just that—string, frayed and rough. There’s no ribbon. No note.

But the moment Neuvillette touches them, his throat tightens like the air is suddenly full of brine.

He doesn’t take them at first. He just stares. Then he looks up, as if expecting an explanation, as if he’s waiting for the punchline. But Wriothesley doesn’t give him one. He doesn’t give him anything but that half-shrug of a smile that Neuvillette is starting to learn means more than it lets on.

“For your office,” Wriothesley adds, like he’s offering a paperweight. Like it’s nothing. Like he didn’t just reach inside Neuvillette’s chest and place something warm and fragile on the altar of his ribs.

Or, Wriothesley keeps showing up with flowers and Neuvillette keeps keeping them.

    Summary

Anxiety punched up his chest like the traitor that it was. Sunday didn’t need any reminding that this move was risky, drawing attention he neither needed nor wanted. He wasn’t even sure why the Trailblazers had agreed to such an impromptu transfer mid-season. Either they hadn’t thought it through, or they were desperate.

    Sunday could relate.
