Summary
He figures Ilya would be pretty surprised if he showed up to his house out of the blue. Surprised enough to be put off, probably. Shane is way too bad of a liar to think of any plausible excuse. If this is really happening, if Shane is actually by some miracle getting another shot at this, then he’s going to have to play this smart. His impatience to see Ilya again will have to be tempered. He’s not sure how time travel works, but he has the sneaking suspicion that one wrong move could unravel everything.
Ilya is alive.
Just the thought of it is enough to make Shane crack his first smile in a year.

AU in which Ilya dies in the Centaurs' plane crash. A year later, careless with grief, Shane drives his car into a blizzard and wakes up in Boston, in 2016. Summary
The second time Shane Hollander wakes up on November 16th, he has a panic attack.
The problem is — he tries to explain through gasped breaths after Hayden basically knocks down his door, shouting that they’re going to miss their flight — the thing is, Shane’s already woken up on November 16th. He’s already flown to Boston. He’s already been to practice, and he’s checked into the hotel, and he has lived this day before.
He doesn’t mention that he’s also already fucked Ilya Rozanov twice and had a fucking tuna melt that Rozanov made and drank the ginger ale that Rozanov bought specifically for him. He doesn’t mention that they’d snuggled on the couch watching TV like some kind of couple, like boyfriends.
He doesn’t mention that he fell asleep thinking about how Ilya — fuck, no, thinking about how Rozanov had called him sweetheart and Shane, and that, even now, he can’t quite get the cadence of Ilya’s voice out of his head.
Or: After the tuna melt fiasco, Shane Hollander wakes up in a time loop.

Ilya pulls back and looks up at him with wide, watery eyes, 'You want me there?'
Ilya’s voice is soft with hope, and Shane would do anything to protect each and every tender emotion in Ilya’s heart.
'Yeah, I can’t think of anyone else I’d want to spend my summer with.'

'Okay, you win,' Ilya says, his good hand coming up to cradle the side of Shane’s face, his thumb stroking along the freckles on the tops of his cheeks, 'I will come to the cottage.'
Shane’s resolve cracks and finally gives way, his elation is a flood washing away the usual scaffolding of his anxiety. Uninhibited, he leans in close to Ilya until their noses brush, with every intention to kiss him, memories be damned, they can make new ones."

AU in which instead of Marlow hitting Shane, it's Drapeau who hits Ilya, fracturing his collarbone, and giving him a concussion which causes him to forget everything since the draft. Luckily, Shane has the perfect place for him to heal, and hopefully recover his lost memories. Only the most precious ones, of course.

Summary
When Ilya gets into a car accident on his way back from the cottage and wakes up having lost the last half year of his memories, Shane’s world crumbles.
He keeps telling himself that Ilya will remember, that everything will go back to how it was before, but it’s hard to keep holding on to that hope when Ilya looks at him with so much distrust and hurt in his eyes.Having just spent two wonderful weeks at Shane’s cottage, Ilya’s newfound bliss is cut short when he wakes up in a hospital and the last thing he remembers is playing a game against the Metros back in winter.
Stuck in his head with his most recent memories following shortly after the tuna melt disaster, he has a hard time figuring out why Shane Hollander keeps showing up at his hospital room. It’s not like they’re even on speaking terms, right?- Language:

Summary
It’s like they’re in a fucked up game of relationship chicken now, increasingly doing things together that Shane can’t describe as anything other than domestic and romantic and boyfriend-like. They text constantly, detailing their days and sharing everything from complaints about teammates to jokes about other players in the league to the kind of quiet worries about family that don’t need to be responded to, just heard by another person.
Or maybe it’s like Schroedinger’s cat. As long as Shane doesn’t ask, doesn’t speak out loud, he can have this. It can exist, and it cannot exist at the same time as long as Shane doesn’t press too hard. Doesn’t want too much.
It feels increasingly like agony now that he’s realized that he loves Ilya.
...
Tunameltdown AU where Ilya makes him tuna melts and says his name and Shane doesn’t freak out and run away. Well, he does freak out, but he also stays. Or the one where Shane doesn’t realize that Ilya’s his boyfriend for a solid three months.
