This thing with Grace was the best thing that had happened to Stratt in a long time, so maybe it was only fair the universe balanced it out with the deaths of DuBois and Shapiro. Now she was facing the decision of either severly decreasing Hail Mary's chances of success by sending someone with lacking experience on the mission, or sacrificing Grace. Also, Grace is now in her barrack, and Stratt cannot bring herself to kick him out, for these might very well be their last hours together.
