    Summary

    Harry Potter dies tired.
Tired of the Ministry. Tired of the expectations. Tired of being loved only when he was useful.
So when he wakes up at ten years old in the cupboard under the stairs, he makes a decision:
He is not saving the wizarding world again.
Dumbledore’s manipulations become impossible to ignore with the perspective of adulthood, the “Light” starts looking disturbingly similar to the Dark, and Voldemort himself offers Harry a deal:
    Stay neutral, and stay alive.
    Harry accepts.
He is choosing himself now, and that somehow includes Draco Malfoy.

    Summary

Harry finally sets off for Hogwarts!

He knows what to expect, sort of. He has faith he will do well, mostly. And he's certain that his rigorous preparations and studying ahead means he's ready to woo even the most hard to impress teachers!

Yeah, none of that really comes true. Why the hell is there a hellhound in the castle? What do you mean something has been draining unicorns of their blood? And why on earth does this one teacher hate his guts?

Welcome to Harry's first year at Hogwarts. Filled with fun, friends and frantically trying not to get clubbed to death by mountain trolls.

    Summary

When Harry Potter’s name comes out of the Goblet of Fire Dumbledore thinks he'll finally get the boy where he wants him. What he gets instead is a platoon of cadets from Her Majesty's Royal Mage Corp. More specifically, he gets Serpent Squad, a group of highly trained teenagers led by a green eyed boy with the codename 'Rooster'. A boy who will never allow himself to become Dumbledore’s pawn.

    Or

What if Petunia and Lily weren't as estranged as they let everyone believe? What if the Dursley’s didn’t trust Dumbledore? And what if St Brutus was a military school?

    Summary

Harry Potter receives his Hogwarts letter before the Dursleys can destroy every copy.

Instead of waiting for someone to rescue him, Harry writes back.

    That single decision changes everything.

As ancient secrets buried for centuries begin to surface, Harry discovers that he is heir to far more than the Potter name. Forgotten bloodlines, the lost realm of Avalon, and a crown older than Hogwarts itself pull him into a world of political intrigue and dangerous power struggles.

Meanwhile, Albus Dumbledore's influence continues to spread across magical Britain and beyond. Revered as a hero by most of the wizarding world, Dumbledore has spent decades building his power, shaping governments, controlling institutions, and placing himself at the centre of every major decision. Harry soon learns that the kindly old Headmaster is far more dangerous than anyone realises.

The problem is that Harry was never meant to learn the truth.

And Dumbledore has no intention of surrendering power without a fight.

    Summary

They raised him to be a hero.
They forgot to make sure he stayed one.
    ____
Harry Potter has always believed in the light.
In the idea that it guides, protects, and chooses what is right. That if he follows it closely enough, it will lead him where he is meant to go.
Fourth year begins by breaking that certainty apart.
The Triwizard Tournament forces his name into a binding contract, granting him a freedom he was never supposed to have. Then, a notice from Gringotts reveals magic buried deep within him, layered and deliberate, shaping more than just his power.
    With it comes clarity.
The world he trusted begins to shift. Alliances grow uncertain. Enemies become something far more complicated. And the line between guidance and control begins to disappear entirely.
Because if the light has been controlling him all along, then perhaps it is time to step out of it.
And decide, for the first time, what he is willing to become.
