You may think it normal to find death in a grave, but Barbatos finds death at its source. People do not die in graves.

Summary
The Pale King made many mistakes in dealing with the infection. A pacifistic Wiccan who died grieving in the cold is given a second shot at life in his place, as well as an answer to the question:
"What would you do differently if you were the Pale King?"
How can one person who knows they aren't strong enough face down the heart of the infection? A witch will just have to be a good deity to the land or die trying.
This is a standalone fic; you do not have to read part 1. Consider this as a Luigi to GC's Mario. Similar stories, but with very different protagonists.

Summary
Lisa had no obligation to seek out true medical knowledge all because she hated the notion of resorting to leeches and bloodletting. No one asked her to do what they considered to be the unthinkable, the unholy. Those patients would have gone about their daily lives had they never met her. They would have also died far too early. It was her life's calling to help these people.
And look at what it brought her in the end.
