Summary
The way we were raised and the people we were raised by leave permanent scars no matter how badly we wish them away. Robby proves to you over and over that he loves those scars and wouldn’t change a thing, even if you’re always wishing things were different. (this started as a sort of reimagining of ep 2x06 of The Bear and spiraled from there)

“Michael?” You ask hesitantly. It's been a while since you've been on a blind date and you're not sure if some of the etiquette has changed.
He turns to you and looks momentarily confused
You slide off your stool, smoothing down your clothes, and take a small step into his space. You give him your name, and he gives you a hesitant smile, looking lost, so you add, “I'm Dana's friend?”
Recognition dawns on his face and his smile becomes less hesitant, “Right, yeah of course. Call me Robby.” The bartender arrives, and he glances at the water in your hand. “Can I get you a drink?”
OR
Reader probably should have realized that there's more than one Dana in Pittsburgh who has a colleague named Michael.
