Summary
After the reset of Arcadia, (Rott), Jim leaves the amulet purposefully for someone else to find. Thus giving the second chance of the timeline to fall into another's hands. In the movie's end we see it fall to Toby.
But when a splitting headache wakes Winlow from her sleep, she sees flashing images of the timeline before it's reset in her waking eyes.
Seeing Kanjigar fall to Buular, she runs to the canals and finds the amulet. Taking on the mantle of Trollhunter in a turn to make the timeline better.
Jim is the only other person who fully & distinctly remembers things from before the reset. Managing a mostly-normal life, Jim becomes a backseat, hands off council to Winlow as she rises to the mantle of Trollhunter. Here’s to the glory, and to the risks, of keeping peace on this second chance.

I wanted a comfort fic because it's been all thundery the past week and it has *not been fun*. It turned into kind of like a getting together thing, so we're working with it. I wrote this in one day and didn't wanna reread it so I'm aware if it's probably not great but I'm keeping it anyways lol. Enjoy!

There is a legend that when the world was being Made, there were rips in the universe that opened to different worlds, and that during all the chaos, creatures could just walk in if they wanted. But the thing is, the rips could close anytime at will so there's a chance of getting trapped in this world without a way back home. CUT TO Nyota (Nyo) who was one of those creatures, whose world and people were all destroyed from a great threat, and leaving only Nyota and a new companion to navigate this new world.
Nyo is part of a species called the Moyakem, creatures with fog-like mist abilities that surround their bodies, used as protection and a type of body language.
(technically the same time when Amren fell into Prythian)
