Summary
Dick presses his face against the glass to better see as each vehicle disappears through the bubble—no, the Aegis. When it’s their turn, it comes right through the wall of their caravan, and for a moment he feels his whole body tingling from the power of it. Then they’re out, or rather in, and he stares up at the giant arch it makes overhead, going on and on, up and over, like someone draped a huge, shining blanket across the whole city. It gleams above them, all silvery-blue.
“But you can see it!” he cries. “I mean…don’t people ever get to look at the sky here?”
His mother laughs from the driver’s seat up front. “Not in Gotham, little robin. I’m afraid you’ll have to get used to that for the next few weeks.”
Dick just keeps staring, shaking his head. He’s not sure ‘getting used to it’ is even physically possible.
Gotham’s a weird place. Dick’s not sure he particularly likes it. But it's meant to be just a passing pain—until suddenly, Gotham’s got its terrible hooks in him, and he’s not sure the city is ever going to let him go.

Summary
Generations ago, much of the Earth was lost to an infestation which could not be driven back. Humanity retreated to magically defended strongholds: shielded cities which kept the rampaging hordes at bay, but hampered travel and technological progress. The world stagnated.
By the dawn of the Heroic Age, Earth’s fractured, fallen state was the status quo—as natural as the sky above. Even the Justice League themselves can’t hope to triumph against the overwhelming odds which face anyone who ventures Outside. The infestation remains a constant, albeit lesser concern.
However, beyond the security of those shielded cities, the culmination of a centuries-long plan to eradicate the last strongholds of humanity draws near. A conflict destined to end the world: to snuff out every trace of civilisation which has stubbornly endured so long.
This ought to be that story. The tragic, dying days of a doomed world.
…But fate's a fickle mistress. Capricious and flighty. And so, in the final years before the destined end of all things, a series of chance meetings with the World’s Greatest Detective might yet lead to the Earth’s salvation.
To think, all it took was Batman breaking his vow to work alone.

Summary
The triffids first arrived on the scene thirty to forty years ago. Dangerous but manageable, and more than worth the troubles they might cause thanks to the vegetable oils they produce. No one knows where they came from, but few really mind - until one morning the world wakes up to disaster, and the triffids loom, ready to take advantage...
Essentially, this is a Haikyuu/"Day of the Triffids AU, in which everyone's favourite volleyball enthusiasts must come to terms with the collapse of society, the sudden blindness of some of their teammates, and the growing numbers of carnivorous plants which threaten to overwhelm them all.

Summary
Good riddance, he thinks. Or maybe feels obligated to think. He’s not sure. It feels like a natural thing to think about a brother who hit you and insulted you and extorted you for most of your short, miserable time together. He’s thought about it before, Alexei dying. The life he lived had not been conductive to longevity.
I am the last Rozanov, he thinks, and that is an emotion he can parse, finally: closure. Like setting the last piece down in a puzzle.
It’s only after the first puff of smoke escapes his lips that Ilya remembers Alexei’s daughter.
