Unchanging even when Regina flexes. Her eyes lock with this new, incomprehensible foe: a bizarre creature who dares meet Regina’s gaze with steely determination even in the face of imminent death.
“Okay,” the woman says. Soft, but resolute. She staggers forward into Regina, features pained but open in something like tenderness.
And when their foreheads fall together, Regina marvels at the realization that for the first time in her life, she’s holding a heart devoid of fear.
“Maybe it’s time for a new tactic, huh?”
