What the title says. About 11 years ago (from my perspective; relativity is weird) I was launched into space onboard the Hail Mary to figure out a solution to the Astrophage problem. “It’s a courtesy in this business, you know,” Narrator said, casually. “Typically people do it with a monologue, you know, 'we were hired by your enemies', or 'did you know how much your head’s going for on the market', that kind of thing, meant to make us worry about who’s closing in on us, or how well-funded they are, what else they’re willing to pull and so on.”
Confidence wavering ever-so-slightly, she asked: “Really?”
“No, he’s full of shit.” Stanley said before he could catch himself.

Business is going extremely well for the Special Acquisitions department, which is great for their egos but terrible for staying out of trouble. Curator practices trusting other people, difficult as it may be. Mariella has time to think about what kind of person she wants to become. Narrator presses on like nothing's changed - if he keeps going forward, he'll never have to face his past.Stanley realizes, too late, how little he really knows about Narrator.
