"He took my coffee maker," Remus whispered to the empty kitchen. "The one my mum gave me. I’m going to murder him."
Remus likes boring. Boring means safe, predictable, and free of drama. For two years, his relationship with Caradoc was exactly that: fine. Until Remus walks into their shared flat in London, only to find the rooms half-empty. His boyfriend gone, and his morning routine thoroughly ruined.
Getting dumped is one thing. Losing his coffee machine is where Remus draws the line.
Luckily (or unluckily), Sirius Black has been waiting in the wings for years, and he's more than ready to replace the espresso machine. And maybe the boyfriend, too.
OR, Remus is heartbroken, his flat is empty, and Sirius has two years' worth of secret feelings he's finally ready to confess.

Summary
Regulus watches the car approach from the balcony, the music blaring. As if the whole ordeal wasn't over the top enough, he starts honking along to the beat, before he sticks his head out the open driver window and whoops loudly. Regulus rolls his eyes but there's a small fond smile pulling at the corner of his lips as he steps back into his room and makes his way down the stairs to greet the newcomers. One could say he skipped down the steps, although he would vehemently deny this observation.
It's not that Regulus isn't happy Sirius seems to have made such good friends while he was away. Of course he's happy for his brother. But he won't lie and say he's excited necessarily about having three strangers in his house. Strangers who all know each other, who already have comfortable dynamics he's somehow meant to fit into. It's… daunting.

This was Remus’ first season as the assistant producer and he was desperate to prove himself worthy enough to carry this out to the end. Last year, he didn’t travel to the actual island and was left behind in London at the studio, mostly being in charge of the social media. In the end, he wasn’t even credited for doing it, so this right now was his time to shine! If he succeeded here, maybe, just maybe he could get an opportunity to work on TV shows that actually interested him. Remus is accosted by a vampire on his way home. Strange in itself. But when the vampire realises he has anaemia, he starts bringing him food. And medication. And nice little treats to make him feel better.
And - well. Remus never claimed to be a man of strong convictions.

His attention is snagged by the band again as the opening riffs to Van Halen’s Ain’t Talkin’ ‘Bout Love start to play. He’s immediately arrested by the band, who eat the instrumentals up. He’s still put off by the lead singer, but he doesn’t even care as his gaze is drawn back to the bassist immediately. He’s older, in his thirties at least, but it doesn’t take away from how arresting he is.
Marlene follows Sirius’ gaze to the band and does a double-take. “Holy shit,” she says, grabbing Sirius’ arm. “Babe, that’s my Lit professor!”
