Born of a powerful Fae lord and a compassionate human mother, Alara uses her magic to craft specialized, potion-infused treats for her diverse supernatural clientele.
The Arrival of the Circus
The status quo of the town is beautifully disrupted when the traveling Freak Circus breaks through the town’s defensive wards. Intrigued by the newcomers, Alara steps outside to welcome them. She breaks the ice with Pierrot, the quiet, melancholic clown who hides his exhaustion and profound burdens behind a smooth white porcelain mask. Pierrot is stunned by Alara's fearless, warm hospitality—a stark contrast to the fear and exploitation the circus usually encounters in the ordinary human world. When a tiny Pebblewyrm hitches a ride out of Alara's hair and purrs at a secret Pierrot whispers to it, a spark of mutual fascination is lit.
