As the whole world moved, Kaeya’s mind and body couldn’t.
But that was okay.
He could ignore it just as the world did, just as Diluc did. They had moved on. The past was the past, and although Kaeya had yearned to go back in time, a sinner can’t dream. They dream of dreaming instead. So that’s exactly what Kaeya did, under the guise of a friendly knight, an excellent strategist and a ruthless swordsman. Although mond has a way of bringing an air of peace and freedom to everyone in its walls, there was an extent of the freedom kaeya could breathe in. He knows that the past cannot be erased, so it is blatantly ignored.
And it hurts.

Summary
Kaeya never dreamed that a simple mission of taking out a Fatui base could go so incredibly wrong.
After an unfortunate accident, Kaeya becomes a child, slowly losing his memories of his estranged brother and home. Diluc is determined to do whatever is necessary to get his brother back, and restore the Cavalry Captain back to his former self.
But will the Fatui's sinister plot be more than either of them or the Knights can handle?

“Hi,” Albedo greets, sliding into the booth across from him, “Now, what’s this about?”
Kaeya stares in awe before quickly collecting himself, “Uhm, so,” he starts, “We have to build a bond, yeah?”
Albedo nods, raising his eyebrows as if to prompt Kaeya to continue.
“Well,” Kaeya says, beginning to regret his impulsivity, “I thought that there’s no better way to do that than to go on mini dates.”Albedo’s eyes widen and he quickly covers his face with one of his hands to hide a flush. Kaeya laughs at his embarrassment but he can’t help but stare. Childe was definitely right… Kaeya is utterly fucked.
