Must be painful being the only one to remember living the same day over and over again for days, weeks, years. Raph's eyes had slipped closed. The shapes caught up to him. He tried to call for his brothers, his dad, but his mouth only made weak, garbled sounds. Maybe they’d hear anyway. They’d know what he meant. He hoped they’d know. Someone was kneeling on his shell. He threw an elbow to get them off, but they grabbed his wrists and forced them together, putting something around them that cut into his skin. He kicked out, satisfied for a moment as his foot connected with something soft, and someone grunted. Then they bound his ankles, too, pulling tight – cord or plastic ties or whatever digging into his tendons. He vaguely felt several pairs of hands lifting him before slipping into unconsciousness.

When Casey Jones meets Leonardo, all she can tell is that he's like nothing she's ever seen, and could be her first chance at a real friend in a long time. They have no way of knowing that they're on opposite sides of the war they've spent their entire lives preparing to fight. Not at first.
