A collection of backstories for some of my D&D (5e) characters.
These stories are all standalone works and will have warnings on a story by story basis. They're not in the order of each character's creation, but in the order of which backstories I was able to find first.

Summary
Fiddleford had to try. There wasn’t any other option, and time was running out.
Fiddleford knows something is wrong with Stanford. Something is very wrong. The more he thinks about it, the more he knows that both he and Stanford are in danger, and it feels like time is running out. With no other option, he reaches out to Stanford's estranged twin Stanley. It's a risky move, but there don't seem to be any other moves to make. Will Stanley even help? If he does, is there even anything to be done, or is it too late?

Summary
At the time, it had seemed like a fun and harmless idea. When Jacob had given Millard the bottle of invisible ink he had thought nothing of it, seeing it as a harmless joke. He had no idea how far Millard would take the idea. If he knew Millard would be such a bastard about it, Jacob definitely would not have given it to him, or even mentioned its existence.

The battle was over, and Thorin Oakenshield awoke, naked and shivering, in the Halls of his Ancestors.
The novelty of being dead fades quickly, and watching over his companions soon fills him with grief and guilt. Oddly, a faint flicker of hope arises in the form of his youngest kinsman, a Dwarf of Durin's line with bright red hair.
(Follows the story of the War of the Ring).
(Bagginshield, Gimli/Legolas) In which recovery takes time, the dead members of the Company take to watching Gimli as though he’s a soap opera, the living struggle with being left behind, Legolas is confused, Khuzdul is abused, and Thorin is four feet and ten inches of guilt and anger.

Based on Lauralots' Alexander Pierce Should Have Died Slower series, as well as personal experiences, this universe explores Bucky as the host of a traumagenic DID system.
The Winter System consists of Bucky (the Host), the Soldier (a trauma-holder protector/former persecutor), Jamesy (a trauma-holder system little), and Winnie (a nonhuman system little, split from Jamesy).
