Summary
It wasn't everyday that everyone stayed at the manor. The only exceptions were the Alfred-mandated Sunday dinners, and when there was a code black situation that required all hands on deck for a mission.
Today was the result of the latter. An Arkham breakout, resulting in several of the high-profile rogues escaping.
It therefore goes without saying that Dick Grayson was exhausted. He spent at least several hours chasing and trying to round up any villains while securing Arkham. And before B called for his assistance, he'd spent the last 48 hours at work being driven to the brink of insanity while trying to sort out several cases.
So, yeah, he was exhausted. Hence, staying at the manor for the night, or well- early morning.
Unfortunately, he couldn't crash just yet, even as his body screamed at him.Not until everyone else was asleep and safe.
Oh well. It wouldn't be the first time Dick had stayed awake for a week straight. -

You were fine. Really, you were. Sure, it felt like your knees were alight and burning, and even just standing made your lower back throb, but you were fine.
That's what you kept telling yourself, at least.You cursed yourself for offering to make breakfast for the brothers that morning. You were trying to make pancakes, something you were an expert on making, but you could barely think through the haze of aches to focus on the batter in the pan.
Of course, due to how long it was taking you to make breakfast, Lucifer comes to investigate, finding you curled up on one of the kitchen stools, barely holding back from crying.
Oh yes, and one last thing: You hadn't actually told anyone about the pain you experienced on a constant basis. Oops?

Summary
What Danny had been expecting that morning was the normal day to day slog through meetings, hearings and paperwork that had long since become routine. Many ghosts had even approached him with requests for aid over the years, ranging from territory disputes to wanting help locating a lost item. But in the more than two centuries since his official coronation, he’d never had a request of this magnitude. Neither in scope, or personal favor.
No, instead of the usual parade of never ending favor-seekers (or let’s be honest, ass kissers) during his daily court, he’d been approached by a young, newly dead couple that clutched one another's' hands tightly as they drifted over to him. They bowed respectfully, as was custom, before the husband blurted out something that had the whole of the normally chatty court fall silent.
“We need you to raise our orphaned son.”
