‘A closeted trans girl discovers her mother is a super villain’
17 year-old Morgan knows one thing: she is not a boy.
And yet there is nothing she can do about it because in the arcology in which she lives, queer expression is non-permissible. With a chronic nerve condition and a telepathic ‘glitch’ that requires regular and expensive medical care, Morgan has little hope of ever getting to leave. At least she still has Riley, her best friend and partner-in-literal-crime.When Brayden, an ex-friend turned enemy reaches out for help spying on his girlfriend, the only thing Morgan wants is to tell him to go hang. It takes Bray offering an absurd amount of money, money that could help replace Riley’s cochlear implant, to convince Morgan otherwise.
Instead, they find footage of Morgan’s mother, the brilliant scientist Dr. Rivka Abrams conspiring to do… something illegal and press-ganging Brayden’s girlfriend into it. And then the first ever Imago attack occurs inside the arcology involving the same device Dr. Abrams was seen using.
Just what have they stumbled into? And who can you trust with the truth when all you’ve ever done is lie?
