Joshua Rosfield is a netrunner who finds his way to the Blackwall, a massive barrier keeping hostile rogue AIs from wreaking havoc in the net. He picks up an unwanted souvenir from this excursion, and now his only hope for survival is getting in contact with his old childhood friend, Dion Lesage. Only problem is, Dion thinks he's dead.
A Final Fantasy XVI x Cyberpunk 2077 fusion, set in Night City. No previous knowledge of Cyberpunk franchise required to enjoy this story.

March glares at him, but neither of them bring up the first time they met, and Healy had been able to tell. He knew, and March knew he knew, and for the longest five seconds of Holland’s life he’d been pinned down in his own goddamn kitchen by the first Alpha he’d had physical contact with since his wife died. Healy just breaking his arm had almost been a relief at that point.
Holland March is an Omega, and his business partner that he only has the most professional relationship with is an Alpha. Even though neither of them have mates, that is absolutely not a problem, because, again, Holland March is a consummate professional. And he doesn’t go into heat anymore. Rocky hesitates to speak for a moment. “New word: suspected mates.”
Grace’s world tilts on its axis. There’s just no way that’s right. He reaches up and drags his beanie off of his head. Only then did it feel right to implore, “…Your people think you and I are mates?”
Or
Ryland Grace spends years in space falling in love with his best friend and keeping it secret, convinced Rocky could not possibly feel the same. Rocky, always on the same page, is conducting identical research.
It’s why they’re such a great team.
