Thirty minutes and an entire 6-pack case of beer later, Katsuki found himself staring at a text message from an unknown number.
Unknown Number: Hey, it's the ‘big guy’ from the bar! Sorry again, I had to cut our pool night short to be DD, Hagakure… but maybe we can meet up sometime?

As hot-tempered as Katsuki is, over the years of enduring those around him find love, he’s slowly become a hopeless romantic, wanting nothing more than to love his partner to death. So, when he receives a text message from an unknown number, he takes it as a sign from the universe as an opportunity to flirt with the mystery man!
Eijirou and his friends stumble into a bar for Kaminari’s birthday! During the night, he encounters a chick who he happens to click with immediately. After a couple of shots of confidence, he secures her phone number and goes about his night. Once at home, he shoots her a text! Little does he know… her phone number was one digit off…
or: Katsuki “catfishes” Eijirou into going on a date with him.

Summary
Bakugou Katsuki's never really thought about romance. At least, not until he's bitch-slapped with the realization that he's kind of maybe actually really into his former childhood friend-turned-rival, who is absolutely head-over-heels for one Uraraka Ochako.
And he's okay with that. Really.
Nevermind the fact that it feels like there's a crater in his chest where his heart used to be. It's even worse when they get together right before Bakugou's supposed to go with Deku and Icy-Hot to the Annual World Hero Conference. Being around Deku when he's all goo-goo-eyed for Round Face is a torture Bakugou isn't sure he's ready to face, so when Kirishima suggests tagging along on an extended rescue training trip in the mountains, he doesn't even think. He just goes.
What he doesn't count on, is the familiar, warm feeling that grows in his chest every time he so much looks at his sharp-toothed, smiley best friend. A feeling that terrifies him, because it's kindling there far, far too soon.

“What’s your name?” Katsuki asked, moving them both forward to walk towards the door.
“Why should I tell you? You’ve been awfully rude to me the entire time we’ve spoken.” Katsuki shoved him further down the hall, the two of them now alone in the hallway leaving the rest of the kingdom’s people alone in the ballroom.
“Because I'm holding a sword to your throat right now and I really don’t think it’s a good idea to be back talking me when I could kill you at any second. Plus I feel like it’s just common respect when the prince asks you a question.”
“A prince?” the thief raised his eyebrows, letting out a laugh. “And a very pretty one, at that. Anybody ever tell you that?”
