Alexis Ness was told to find a new king. He was told to stop clinging to an impossibility and move on — to evolve and awaken and grow into something better. To grow into someone worthy of staying on the field.
So, when Kaiser showed that he moved on just fine — Ness wasn’t one to be left in the dust.
Ness would just crown someone his new king, and he happened to have the perfect candidate for it — Blue Lock’s newly minted demon king.

“Your thighs,” Alexis says, like he’s discussing equipment specs. “Explosive. Tense. Good distribution of mass.”
Yoichi blurts, “I support you, by the way.”
Alexis blinks. “…What?”
“I mean– if this is your way of, you know. Telling me something. About yourself. I’m cool with it.”
A pause.
Alexis squints, unreadable. Then something slow and dangerous starts creeping into his expression. He coughs.
“I’m talking about football form,” he says, voice cool and dry like ice over a blade. “You absolute moron .”
