Had you asked Furina if she expected the Knave to have watched her first performance after everything that had happened she would have laughed. She found it even more unbelievable that the Knave had gifted her an assortment of pastries that her children had baked for her. But, many late-night meetings later Furina couldn't imagine it any other way.

The Knave stood. As she went to the door, she said, “We have more in common than you think, Lady Furina. We are both prisoners.”
“And what prison is yours? The Fatui?”
She shrugged just as she had when she entered. “Always a pleasure to hear your thoughts, former Archon.”
Despite Furina's desperation to leave the last 500 years behind her, she continues to be haunted by them. She becomes a social recluse in all her shame, caging off old friends and coworkers. What makes matters worse is that the Knave keeps sending her apologetic desserts, and with each one, Furina is more sure that the woman is purposely tormenting her. Furina is terrified at first, but as the Knave keeps weaving herself into Furina's life, Furina finds that she might be the only person who doesn't only see her only as Fontaine's poor, former Archon.
