This story is a continuation of Chapter 17 of Season of Change where Robin and Strike are forced to share a bed during a weekend getaway with Nick and Ilsa (based on the Flufftober prompt ‘Only one bed’). In the original story, the chapter ends with both partners resolving to remain as only friends and going to sleep after some lighthearted banter. This offers a continuation/alternate ending to the chapter and storyline.

So, this epic has been in the pipeline for ages - honestly, ages! I had about 9 chapters written prior to TRG, and then I got stuck, and after the book I wondered if I could adapt it and decided on yet another rewrite to incorporate that Norfolk Four-Poster moment.
So, it's vaguely set post IBH and pre TRG, but I have planned to incorporate some of the events into this......

So, I really enjoyed The Hour season 2 - Tom Burke is, as Lix stated, "Divine!" and deserved more of his own story. So here it is. I have a folder full of costume ideas for Caroline and a vague idea of a plot.
Caroline Charteris is, shockingly a divorced woman (which at the time would have been incredibly shocking) her husband divorced her when he discovered she was completely honest about her declaration of not wanting children herself.
Bill Kendall has been single for a while following the breakdown of his relationship with Bel Rowley (whom his daughter Jane did NOT approve of!)
Jane's school appoints a new head mistress....who has some rather confrontational views on helping children to deal with their emotional well being....she and Bill Kendall meet and tempers as well as attraction flares!

Based on my idea of what might happen to Dolokhov post War and Peace. Some of the ideas are based on real places - although they may not be historically accurate 'timeline wise'.
The main female character is called Elizabeth Middleton, she is the only daughter of Brigadier Charles Middleton and Lady Sarah Harrow - she's feisty, intelligent and highly eligible.....however none of the English nobility is to her taste and her parents are beginning to despair!
