Leonardo released that pent up anger by lashing out at the younger version of himself: "The only reason we're in this mess is because you're a cocky, overconfident little brat who can't stop goofing off and refuses to take anything serious!"
"Why did you take me outside in the first place if it's so dangerous out here we could wind up dog meat just going for a little stroll!?"
"Because I wanted to show you what your mistake cost everybody!"
Those harsh, clipped words cut Leo to the core. His shoulders dropped down along with that scowl on his face which was replaced with a frown, and his voice radiated sadness when he asked: "You're not talking about me using my portals, are you? This..." he looked out through the opening of the small cave-like structure they were hiding in, staring at the redness to the landscape that wasn't from the setting sun but rather by some sort of deathly apocalypse caused by these 'krang' Leonardo had mentioned, and continued: "...this is somehow my fault."

Leo thought for a moment, attempting to retrace his steps.
Well, he’d gotten the gift just because it had reminded him of Raph. But that had reminded him of how much Raph throws himself around in fights, and how hard he tries to help Leo all the time, how he’s putting too much pressure on himself.
Maybe…
Their mystic and ninpo were pretty much combined now, right? And the latter was literally all about loving their family with everything they had.

Leo stares at them. Stares and stares and stares while they all stare right back. He has a million questions, and he’s sure his brothers will have a million more, but for now… there’s only one appropriate response to this situation.
“Goddamnit!” Leo shouts suddenly, making the others jump. “I owe Donnie twenty bucks now!”
tldr: A nice, short little story of 2012 gang getting punted into the 2018 dimension and meeting the 2018 gang. :)

Something was wrong.
The dull ache in Leo's carapace erupted into a blinding pain shooting through the hairline cracks that were leftover as a lasting reminder of what Krang Prime had done to him.
Specifically the ones that went over the stylish blue markings that lit up with his ninpo energy every time he tapped into his mystic powers.
This had never happened to him before! Sure sometimes when he practiced too long his shell wound up aching but he never really gave it much thought.
Donnie landed on his feet in the soft sand of a beach on a secluded tropical island, while Leo did not. Instead he landed on his side with a pained: "Oof!" followed by an: "Augh!"

"You're pushing me away just like you always did!" Raph accused, earning him a scoff in contempt. But he went on anyway. "Why!? Why is it so hard for you to admit you're hurting too!? What are you so afraid of!?"
Leo opened his mouth as if to answer. But changing his mind he turned around to continue walking down the street. Raph followed, matching his slowed pace while Leo didn't have the energy to deal with another yelling match right now so listened instead.
"I want things to go back to the way they were before with us."
No response, Leo kept on walking.
"Or if they can't go back that way there's nothing saying we can't work on this, together."
For reasons he didn't quite understand Leo walked straight past his apartment building, continuing on down the wet New York street.
"I don't want to leave things they way they are between us. It's been too long, don't you think?"

“I know you’re mad at him. And I don’t blame you, I’m mad too.” Raph was expecting this, now he was going to say that he should talk to Leo and forgive him, then to give him time to get used to being leader and not fight him over this. Except he didn't. So the snapper felt the need to ask.
“But…?”
“No ‘buts’ this time, I’m with you in this one. He went too far.” Raph chuckled under his breath, at least he had permission to yell now–
“Just please don’t yell at him?” Never mind. “It’ll just make Dee’s headache worse.”
Yeah, that made sense. So, for his brother’s sake, he’s not gonna yell at Leo.
“Okay, I won’t.”
For now.
Or
Leo and Raph start fighting again after the invasion and none of them are exactly ready to talk about it. That is until Leo learns something about the other timeline.

“I’m tired, Hood.” He finally admits voice low.
The wind rips through the rooftop again whistling past the two men. Dick looks down at his side, the pain is coming back in full force now that he’s stopped trying to fight it.
“I just want to sleep,” he adds quietly. “Get some actual medical care for once instead of stitching everything on my own. Eat a cheeseburger and drink coffee like a normal freakin’ person.”
Dick can’t stop himself exhaling a laugh at the simplicity of his request, his hands trembling at his sides. “But I can’t. Because someone always needs something from me.”
The anger that’s been stewing beneath his ribs drains out of him as fast as it had come. Leaving him standing there on the rooftop feeling more exhausted than furious.
“I love you guys,” he admits more so to himself, than to Jason. His chest constricting despite his steady breathing visible against the dim sodium lights of the roof. “But I’m only one person.”
