First there was being asked to drop her cool aunt act to deal with her friend’s pre-teen daughter who had gotten herself suspended from school. Then there was the reminder than she had been in a real bad car wreck 18 years ago, today of all things, which had led to her life changing forever. Then she and Trixie had gotten themselves in another car wreck in which she may have died, and then, she had woken up in hell.

Summary
With Cain smote to oblivion, Chloe and Lucifer are finally getting the chance to learn what it's like to be together. Both are happier than they've ever been, seemingly with everything they could want. Of course, there is nothing normal about them: Chloe has developed certain celestial abilities that nobody seems to fully understand. Lucifer has regained his Lightbringer abilities. And they can pray to one another.
Now they just have to work out how to navigate their new level of partnership through a new arson case, a creepy priest who knows far too much about the Devil, and old flames dropping in out of nowhere. But as long as they stick together, there is nothing they can't accomplish and overcome.
Right?

Summary
After a visit from Azrael, Lucifer decides that Michael should serve his sentence in an LA jail. He didn't imagine that the consequences would be disastrous.
Michael, after taking his second chance himself since his brothers could spend eternity lying to him and putting him in torturous situations, decides to start an art school.
Ella, who is trying to rebuild her life after almost dying at the hands of a serial killer, losing her friend Daniel and discovering that her friends lied to her, enrolls in a new art school.
The two begin their contact through art classes and what began as something simply cordial, formal, became the medicine for the illness and the balm for the pain. Even though Ella knew everything that happened, knowing Michael's side of the story made her see the whole conflict with different eyes.
The Archangel and the Forensic Scientist started a relationship that in the blink of an eye and without seeing it coming, ended up with her pregnant and her entire family planning the wedding.
Things are never simple, they just aren't. If someone had told her that her life, after meeting Michael would seem like something out of a telenovela, she would have laughed. But here they were.

Summary
Enraged after Lucifer's refusal to return to Hell, God finally steps in.
If you so wish to live amongst humans, my son, then so be it.
And then Lucifer’s not quite Lucifer anymore, yet he can’t remember if he ever was. As a human-looking being in a human world, he assumes the only thing he can.
Memory of his origins foggy, fading, then gone. Powers not gone, but suppressed — enough so that he can always explain away how people tend to open up to him, why doors always seem to be unlocked. But the one thing he can't explain to himself are the embers he feels deep within himself. Distant, but glowing.
It gives him no comfort, this feeling that he's more. It's an itch he can't reach, a puzzle he can't solve. So he stops searching, and drowns it instead.
Life has not been kind to Lucifer since then. Wrecked by his melancholy and consumed by every vice under the sun, he meets Chloe Decker. She throws him in a holding cell to sleep off a bender, and when he awakes, sober for the first time in what could be months or years... there's that flame again. Tiny, but hopeful. And he can't say why exactly, but there's something about this woman that makes him want to start searching again.

The Universe needs a new God, but complications arise in the Silver City, Michael's transition to Second King of Hell is anything but smooth, and the Demiurge seems to have developed a mind of its own. Add in normal Earth drama and the nervous anticipation of impending parenthood and Lucifer and Michael have their hands full. Thankfully, they have the help of their friends; new and old.
