    Summary

Sokka is convinced that nothing good ever comes of dealing with spirits. Nothing. They cause nothing but trouble.
So it would be just his luck that he stumbles into one a little too interested in his love life. After the spirit senses Sokka's conflicted feelings for Zuko, his friend and former enemy that he may or may not love, she decides to help him out. The problem is that her help is more of a curse! As each day goes by, it seems like something new and weird is happening to his body! It doesn't help that being near Zuko is driving him crazy in ways it never has before. What did the spirits do to him?!

In which A/B/O doesn't exist in the world of ATLA yet, but I make Sokka patient zero, and then it becomes everyone's problem.

    Summary

Sokka’s fascination with fire creeps up on him slowly and sneakily.

Zuko is leaping into the air with his leg rotating in a high arc. Flames trail off of his foot like he is drawing them right in the air with his toes.

Two months previous, it’d be the kind of move that would have had Katara pull the entire ocean up right then to smother Zuko, which would be a shame. It is a very pretty outcome, especially as the flames spark out into embers that dance in the air for just long enough to be appreciated.

He can’t really bring himself to stop watching from that point forward.

    Or:

Sokka and his obsession with fire. Then his obsession with one firebender in specific.

"Alright." Desmond closes his eyes to carry on, "This is going to sound fucking crazy. But. Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a regular at my bar. He's partial to the dark lager we had on tap last month."

There's absolute silence in the van. Even Shaun has stopped muttering swear words at the traffic.

    "I'm serious," Desmond insists.

Booktoker Alex didn’t mean to start an internet feud with beloved writer Henry Fox, it just kind of… happened. One off-hand comment on a TikTok live, and suddenly he’s public enemy number one. But when he finally reads the book he trashed, all he can do is hope for Henry’s forgiveness, and maybe, somehow, a chance to win his heart.

    Summary

Smell is an interesting thing, as far as senses go. He learned in undergrad anatomy that it’s actually responsible in part for encoding memory, and it’s a powerful trigger for it. Alex has experienced this plenty of times; his mother’s perfume reminding him of their years in Texas, his father’s cigars. This time, with the smell of this room, Alex is hit square in the chest with the memory of short blonde strands of hair sliding between his fingers, a perfect mouth opening against his own, a smooth accent curving a dulcet voice that whispers into his ear. Alex is spinning suddenly, as though he’s in midair and falling, and the nostalgic feeling in his chest is replaced with something far more intense and less pleasant. Alex steps backwards suddenly out of the room and slams the door shut, his breath shuddering and fast, and he rakes his hands through his dark curls as he storms off down the hallway.

Alexander Claremont-Diaz returns to the White House the first day of his presidency, intent on carving a new future for America and laying the ghosts of the previous administration to rest. He stumbles on a ghost of his own, one that's never quite stopped haunting him since the summer of his mother's second campaign.
