Black is simultaneously proud and pissed. Despite all his best efforts of keeping White away from all of this — keeping him at arm’s length, cruelly plucking away every bud of confidence his twin has managed to nurture about his ability to help, to be useful, and even going as far as threatening him — it was White who ultimately saved their sorry asses.
Black whips around in confusion. “How the hell could that be? I felt that bullet hitting me. How could I feel it but not have—”
And suddenly his veins turn into ice.
A whump-shot, character study, and hint of crack all rolled into one.

Summary
Black had always made White feel safe, secure, confident and loved, especially loved, all the things he didn’t get from their parents. Without Black, White fell into feeling nothing. For Black on the other hand, White had always helped him regulate his feelings, let them out and let them go. Without White, Black had too many feelings and no release valve until he exploded with rage and emotions he couldn’t express normally. They complemented one another, they completed one another. They absolutely needed one another.

“Black. What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” Sean asks. He’s not bleeding; there’s no injury at all that Sean can find. Black’s face is pale and drawn, sweat standing out in huge droplets on his forehead. He’s breathing fast and shallow. “Black?”
Black pushes Sean’s hand away from his shoulder, squeezing it as hard as he can between his shaking fingers. He looks up into Sean’s eyes, his own eyes hazy with pain. “White,” he grinds out between clenched teeth.

When White is injured during a mission, Sean and Black have to overcome their differences — not to mention Black and White's whole "twin thing" — to take care of him.

Summary
They were always gonna end up beaten and bruised, with one of them in handcuffs and the other wide-eyed and terrified whilst they could do nothing but watch. Mike’s just surprised it’s happened so soon, all things considered, that the cops have finally come to take him away after almost two years of Harvey and him getting away with fraud.
They were always gonna end up here, and Mike’s just unlucky that he’s the one in handcuffs.
