Eddie is a college student working at an animal shelter in Chicago when he reunites with Robin. Considering they're a packaged deal, Robin accidentally drags one reluctant, indignant Steve Harrington back into Eddie's life.
It doesn't take long to realize Steve has a closet full of skeletons he's trying desperately to bury with dangerous distractions. Eddie finds himself inexplicably drawn to finding out what exactly is tearing Steve apart at the seams.

Dustin said, "They had a fight," without looking up from his comic.
Max flit her eyes down, from their faces to their hands. Their fingers were interlocked, Steve tracing the patterns in silver rings, and Eddie rubbing circles into the back of Steve's hand.
"They're holding hands."
"They get sad when they fight," was his nonplussed response, as if that were a complete and perfectly acceptable explanation for the scene, which—
Yeah. It kind of is.

Summary
The events of the last few years of his life have left Steve Harrington a wreck. He feels as alone in life as he imagines he would in death. Things begin to change after hes rescued from a drunken stupor by sort-of-friend Eddie Munson.
Eddie is a soft dom at heart, and ends up unknowingly influencing Harrington to take better care of himself, do things he enjoys. Steve doesnt understand the calm and the peace he begins to feel around Eddie, or his apparent need to make Eddie proud.
When Eddie realizes the influence hes had on Steves life he battles with weather or not its right of him to continue treating his friend as a submissive in need of guidance. Eddie decides to lay it all out for Steve, and confesse his true feelings for him.
Or
Steve Harrington discovers he's a sub and ALSO in love with Eddie Munson after he helps get Steves life back to a happy, healthy space. The tags dont make sense now bc you have to wait for it.
