Summary
Loki has escaped his imprisonment on Asgard and fled to Earth. He starts up his usual mischief again and the Avengers are called in to take care of it, but it might be more than just games this time. Realizing he won't be able to get himself out of the trouble he's created alone, Loki appears before Tony Stark battered, bloody and bruised. He demands his aid in exchange for valuable information, and Tony decides to humor him.
As the pair begin to work together in secret, Tony finds himself growing strangely comfortable in the presence of the god. His night terrors subside, his panic attacks become less frequent, and he starts to enjoy the company of his new ally. Loki, of course, is only playing games with Tony's feelings. Or at least, that was the plan.
Plans don't always work out, though, and it seems Loki might have met his match in Tony Stark.

A modern day Master/servant Hannigram AU. This idea came to me whilst working (literally on my hands and knees applying gold leaf) in one of the extraordinary Cheshire mansions I find myself in surprisingly regularly. I am continually surprised by the inexplicably loyal staff managers (nobody ever says the word BUTLER - but they are), proudly servile and selfless.
Will inherits such a property in North West England, complete with staff and an interesting sort-of-butler who enjoys his work. REALLY enjoys his work.
Also inspired by Jeeves and Wooster which I'm currently re-reading and loving, and all butlers everywhere. Oh, and Men On Edge :)

Summary
After the incident in Hannibal's kitchen that left Will clinging to life by a thread, nothing feels quite right with the world. It seems as though he has woken in a different place filled with different rules, where reality decided to peel itself back and reveal the madness beneath. Time is meaningless, distances arbitrary, and all around them walk strange things that never fully resemble people.
Only Will can see these changes, and only Will can see the dead girl that now guides his steps. And only Will can hear the whispers coming from across the ocean that sound so much like the man that left him so irreversibly aware. He wonders why, and goes looking for answers.
