Most nights when Pip can not sleep, Ravi stays up with her in bed. They talk until one of them falls asleep, often him, most of the time him, always him.
One night, in the comfort of a shared night, something brings Pip back to that day in the woods, back to those words: ‘you think you’re this good person, what if you’re not’.
She needs to know, so she asks. “Do you remember when you said I wasn’t a good person?”
Time stops and a discussion is well needed.
