"Levi realized too little, too late that Zeke was willing to actually die for his cause. Before he could stop him, that bastard pulled the string loose from the thunder spear. Levi had maybe half a second to react before being blinded by an intense burst of light. All of a sudden he found himself flying through the air, but couldn’t recall using his ODM gear. Followed by a searing pain that briefly stripped Levi of all rational thought, forcing him to focus only on the sheer agony he was in. Then he hit the ground, and everything went black."
Not the most creative title I know, I couldn't really think of anything better. Taken from 'Time of Dying' by Three Days Grace. Just a self-indulgent fanfic expanding on what happened in the aftermath of Zeke's thunder spear explosion, from Levi's and Hange's points-of-view. I may or may not continue this to show Levi's inner thoughts throughout the rest of Season 4, since we sadly don't get to hear what his opinion is of everything going on around him.
