    Summary

Her height was wrong, she looked younger than he remembered, and her hair was too long, but as he looked at her face he knew she was unmistakably-

‘’Robin’’ he said, not realising he had opened his mouth until the name was already out.

Robin turned her face towards him, a recognition that shouldn’t be there flashing through her blue eyes.
He knew they weren’t supposed to meet yet, but the fact that he found her here, in a place he had never heard of from her, gave him hope, hope that he wasn’t alone. But he had to make sure, so he opened his mouth and in perfect Russian recited-

‘’A trip to China sounds nice”

    “if you tread lightly.’’

    .

Steve Harrington never understood loneliness until he was stuck five years in the past with nothing but a whole lot of trauma, insomnia, and a stupid fear of flickering lights. But still, alone or not he had the perfect opportunity to change what happened. To make sure none of his shitty kids has to sleep with the lights one because of the monsters they know are real. He could save Barb, he could save Bob, he could save- Billy.
And maybe, just maybe, Steve isn't as alone as he first thought.

It is such a shame this story was dropped. I adore Steve and Robin being codependent disasters so much. And babysitting. Always love Steve babysitting

    Summary

1987 went to shit. Vecna brought on what may well be the apocalypse, and Steve fought it to the end. Literally.

Death was supposed to be a one-way street. But knowing a girl with super powers had a tendency to change the game. So when Steve opens his eyes to a beer-soaked bathroom on Halloween in 1984, Nancy calling him 'bullshit' all over again, the universe might forgive Steve for thinking he was either a) in Hell or b) going cracked. But Steve didn't have time to freakout. Not when El finds him and asks that he help her change the events of the future. Not when he's the only other person she managed to drag with her for chance number two.

OR: A time travel fix-it, where 1987 Steve is dropped back into his 1984 self. And now he has to deal with that plus the impending apocalypse on the horizon. But he'll be fine, right? Because, as El informs whoever asks, Steve's 'The Babysitter'. So he gets to work. He can cry later, when he's done.

    Summary

“Can you take us to a late showing of —"

Steve bites his lip, sighing and preparing for inevitable backlash, “I can't, I'm babysitting."

“What!?” Dustin screeches, “How!? You’re not with any Party members?”

“Yeah I’m babysitting other kids.” Steve sighs, looking back at Beth and Annie bickering over one of their teddy bear guests.

“Other kids?! Kids that aren’t us? You’re cheating on us?”

Steve rubs at his temples, “It’s not like I have a secret family Henderson! Calm down.”

“You may as well have!” Dustin retorts something like hurt colouring his tone.

    Summary

The thing about prophetic dreams is that they’re not nearly as cool as they sound. Sure, it’s nice having a bit of forewarning for when shit’s about to go down, but it also gives you, like, twice as much time to stress about it.

If Nancy was the one dreaming they’d probably have the whole thing fixed in a week and then she’d be on track to being the first female president or something. Unfortunately for everyone, they’re stuck with Steve.

He’s dealing with it about as well as can be expected.

(Especially considering he’s juggling his new babysitting duties, the re-emergence of the Upside Down, whatever the fuck’s going on with Billy Hargrove, and his budding bisexual awakening-slash-crisis.)

(Thank god Robin will be there to help. Eventually.)

I really love the alternate timeline rabbit holes that open up. It's fascinating (And Steve continues to be a suburban mother despite being a teenage boy - classic 😁)
