Summary
Six years after he and Viktor part ways on antagonistic terms, Jayce wakes up in the Machine Herald’s medical clinic.
Jayce desperately wants to rub at his forehead, but the binding at his wrist stops him. He settles for squeezing his eyes shut. “Why?” he asks.
Viktor is silent for barely a moment. He says, tonelessly, “I assumed this was preferable to dying.”

Summary
"You’d be my vice president!"
The guillotine struck. Wilbur nearly snapped, his mouth opening to gape at the comment and try to come up with a retort, but the only logical part of his brain managed to kick in at that moment.
Vice president? An inside into Las Nevadas? With being vice president, Wilbur could not only show up Quackity, but show him just how much better he is then him.
Wilbur, this time, accepts Quackity’s position. Not to be there for him, of course, but to gain an inside eye and the upper hand.
It goes a lot differently then Wilbur planned on it going.

"That's not what I'm talking about," they spoke, smooth like the stones Tommy always said were good for skipping over water, then they leaned down to be eye level with him, "I'm asking what are you doing now."
"You never specified that, actually," he answered pettily, which might not have been the best course of action to do in a situation where someone was holding a knife to his throat. Wilbur did not care.
Wilbur is experiencing rough waters, and Quackity has his own rocky boat. Maybe, if they tried together, it would all become a little easier.
✩ or, wilbur is a siren who washed up, then ended up on quackity's deck, and now they both have to deal with it

Summary
So Quackity panics, something you shouldn't really do, but he can't help it.
Next thing he knows he's swinging the pack at the man with full force, only registering what's happened when the man's lying there on the ground. He blinks, shaking it off.
Quackity reaches for the knife, stashing it away quickly. But the man doesn't get up.
Quackity allows himself to catch his breath, still, the man doesn't get up.
'Odd.' Quackity didn't kill this person. Right. No. He doesn't know.
Or, a c!tntduo zombie apocalypse au Quackity could have left Wilbur to die, but he doesn't. That one action leads into a life he didn't think he could have at the end of the world
