Rocky does not need the assistance of a machine for Grace’s language. It is ugly and harsh to listen to, but it’s relatively simple to learn. That, and, well—Rocky was alone for a very, very long time before he met Grace. He maybe hangs on to each word a little more than strictly necessary. Grace only needs to tell him each word once for Rocky to know it forever.

Summary
Phainon’s life has always been ideal and ambitious — he crosses off every achievement like a to-do list. Move out of his small homeworld and study in a prestigious college in the Planet of Festivities? Check. Take up law school at the University of Veritas Prime to chase bigger dreams? Check.
But then, in a fit of madness coupled with an existential crisis, he leaves everything behind, travels across the galaxy, and moves to Okhema, a city in Amphoreus seemingly dipped in the past.
His half-remembered dreams lead him to a library cafe, where he meets a beautiful blonde man who looks like he holds all the answers.

He was stopped by a thick arm curling around his waist, holding him firmly in place as Ratio spoke, his voice quiet. "You certainly took your time."
For a moment Aventurine paused, peering into those typically stoic eyes, his brows pinching together. "Considering everything I went through I think I'm allowed to be a bit late."
As he watched, Ratio's jaw clenched and his throat bobbed. After years of working together and building respect, Aventurine liked to think that he knew how to read Ratio. However, at that moment, he began to question if he really did. After all, what did Ratio have to be anxious about? All things considered they had emerged victorious, the plan had gone off without a hitch and Aventurine had returned alive. There was nothing for him to be uneasy about and yet…
"I suppose a bit of tardiness is acceptable." Ratio acknowledged, drawing Aventurine's thoughts to a screeching halt.
After Penacony, once the dust has settled, Ratio decides to take full advantage of the fact that Aventurine came back from it all alive.
