But his fingers tightened around the handle of his coffee mug as Tommy shifted closer, stretching an arm behind Buck’s shoulders, fingers playing absently with the hem of Buck’s shirt. It was a mindless touch, casual and easy—one that shouldn’t have bothered Eddie as much as it did.
And yet, it set something off inside him.
"Hey, Earth to Diaz," Chimney’s voice cut through his thoughts. "You good? You’ve been staring at them for, like, a full minute. Starting to think you got a crush on Tommy or something."
Eddie forced a scoff, rolling his shoulders back like the tension wasn’t crawling up his spine. "Yeah, you got me," he muttered. "Can’t resist a guy who wears cologne strong enough to set off the smoke detectors."

Jonah glanced in the rearview mirror before turning his gaze to the road. Buck exhaled before muttering insults under his breath like the overgrown man child he was. Shaking his head, Jonah pulled up to the docks.
Buck took a deep breath before opening the car door. He followed Jonah up the gangway towards his father’s yacht. The white boat practically glowed from the moonlight reflecting from the water.
All Buck knew was that someone was about to enter a watery grave. As always, he hoped it wasn’t himself.

EJ had the girl back against his locker and he was, in fact, making out with a blonde haired girl.
Ricky felt tears burn his the back of his eyes but he refused to let to fall. He wasn’t going to let himself cry. Instead of turning around, Ricky walked right past them, refusing to let the tears out and show everyone how affected he was.

Just 10 minutes ago, he was alive. Breathing, heart beating, talking. And now, all of it was gone. Every year, the same thing happens. The gate opens and some demons come back. But this time, it had gone too far.

Steve arrives at Max’s trailer in record time, breaking nearly every driving rule in the book on the journey. The lights are on despite it being past midnight, and Steve can hear some loud crashing sounds even from where he’s standing outside.
“Fuck it,” Steve says, deciding he better go in. He runs into the trailer at once, bat in hand, thanking whoever left the door unlocked.
He’s taken aback at the scene. Max is kneeling on the ground, pleading with her mother to calm down. There’s shattered glass everywhere on the floor, broken beer bottles lined up against the walls. Max is barefoot, only wearing thin pyjamas, and is slightly shaking. The whole room stinks of alcohol.
