When Danny is sent on a quick mission for Clockwork to the future, he can't help but stop in to see what his archenemy, Vlad, is up to. He expects to find the man miserable, with fifty cats, soap operas on the television, and a receding hairline. What he finds not only freaks him out but also calls his entire existence and future into question. He most definitely did not see his future self coiled around Vlad in the thralls of passion. His confusion and anger come to a head when he and Vlad have a very life-changing conversation in the alley next to his parents' house. One thing leads to another, and before either can consider the consequences, they spend a very awkward night working out their differences... both being honest for the first time and finding in those moments of honesty, a place for understanding to start to grow.
