Summary
Merlin wakes up in Ismere with no memory of who he is after Morgana knocks him out. The Diomare calls him Emrys and, believing that is his name, and that he is a dragon lord, he calls. He's surprised when two show up, healing one, while giving the other a shock.
He's dropped off at an abandoned house where he precedes to make a life for himself. He ends up with more than he bargained for when a woman shows up begging him to take her magical children in. It keeps happening and before he knows it he has six children relying on him and looking up to him.
Along the way, knights pass by on patrol and quickly identify his new home as a sanctuary and take rest there on occasion while passing through.

Merlin cooed, gaining the girl’s attention. “Hey, precious.” He smiled when she looked at him.
“Dad!” she called happily, reaching her hands out. Both Merlin and Arthur took a step back, eyebrows raised.
“Care to explain?” Arthur asked.
OR
The knights find a child on while searching the woods. Confusion ensues when the toddler turns out to be entirely convinced Merlin is her father. She's not exactly wrong...
