Summary
Johnny has reached the end of his tether.
After ten years of simply surviving post medical discharge, through which he ended on bad terms with Simon, run away to live with his parents, bit through an arranged marriage and is currently going through a difficult divorce, he can't go on anymore.
On the night he plans to take his life, he impulsively dials Simon's number- someone he hasn't seen or heard from in nearly a decade. He isn't banking on Simon picking up the phone, but when he does, he unwittingly opens up a door to a future he could no longer see... with the man he's always loved.

Simon Riley, through hardwork and sheer determination, has finally got a grasp on civilian life. His one regret during his transition, losing Johnny.

Viktor didn’t die in a hospital bed with Jayce’s warm hand clasped around his cold one. He didn’t drift away to the land of no return softly in his sleep, with Blitzcrank curled in the crook of his neck. He didn’t get that liberty.
Viktor collapsed in the sixth isle of the local grocery store surrounded by strangers. The last thing he would’ve seen, Jayce morbidly imagined, is the unfamiliar hands of the shopper who reached out for him, the bags of pet food offering their audience as they watched his lungs hold him by the collar and say ‘This is it. You will die here and that is final.’

Or: Jayce, completely winded by Viktor's sudden death, tries and fails to keep himself afloat. He carries that weight until his knees give in and he's swallowed whole by everything he cannot will himself to forget.

Summary
Five years after the world was ravaged by a zombie outbreak, what remains of humanity has learned how to survive in their new apocalypse. In their new normal, the dead wander the earth with insatiable appetites, families have been ripped apart, citizens have been abandoned, and the Reds thrive amongst the chaos.
When an unfortunate run-in with some Reds and an inconveniently-timed thunderstorm forces Soap to separate from Price and Gaz during their hunting session, he finds himself washed up on the doorstep of a wooden cabin. Only he's not alone.
Soap should probably be more worried about the masked stranger with a furrowed brow pointing an arrow at his chest, but there's something intriguing about him, secrets hidden deep within his heart and walls impenetrably built up. And even more shocking is the fact that the stranger allows him inside to take refuge.
What starts at that moment which neither realize is the beautiful unfolding of a love story between two people who were meant to find each other. It's about learning to trust again, the power of forgiveness, finding hope in the world that has ripped everything from you already, and falling into the arms of someone who will love you unconditionally.
