Summary
A fic-verse that blends the MARVEL comic-616 and MCU narratives of Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff) and Winter Soldier (James 'Bucky' Barnes). All fics are mostly from Natasha's POV. This series assumes Black Widow's 1984 birthdate is true, has seeds in her life before the Red Room and the narrative follows her romantic relationship with the Winter Soldier that began with him in her late teens. Forcibly separated from her lover, she seeks refuge and recruitment in S.H.I.E.L.D. with a new ally (Clint Barton). Her path to redemption eventually ties her to the recently thawed Steve Rogers. Tangled emotional webs grow as she is strung between her memory of the Winter Soldier and a growing connection with Steve. As a woman of secrets, and for the good of all, she hides her past devotions while slowly unraveling her former life at the hope of redemption. Survival isn't all.
Note: Natasha's preteen years in this fic are not MCU (Ultron) compliant. [In AoU, Natasha says she was 'raised' in the Red Room, which means she was at least seven years old when they took her in, likely earlier.]

Summary
When Natasha Romanoff was young, she trained under the Red Room. There, she underwent years of brainwashing and rigorous training and had risen through the ranks as she became their best student. She was on top of her game. Only knocked down because of the change in staff, the arrival of a man with the metal arm.
The Winter Soldier was pulled out of cryostasis as the Black Widow program's final test. He was to train them to perfection before they were allowed to graduate. The Winter Soldier was an unshakable force, that is until one of the trainees started talking him up.
