Hirose starts to notice something about Nakamura that doesn’t quite make sense. No matter how many times he fumbles a conversation or ends up in an awkward situation, he never stops trying to stay close to him. It’s something Hirose can’t ignore.
Curiosity turns into a question he eventually asks out loud: why him?
Nakamura doesn’t answer. Not at first. And when he finally does, it shifts something between them.
