Summary
Mira is Grace Augustine’s daughter, born on Pandora to an unknown father, a Na’vi language scientist who died before her birth. Raised by Grace, she receives an avatar body and, at 16 (2147), joins the Na’vi school, befriending Sylwanin and Neytiri while initially facing Tsu’tey’s distrust. As they grow closer, Tsu’tey struggles between duty and love, until his trust shatters when the shooting happens. He blames Grace and Mira for Sylwanin’s death.
Tsu’tey is 24 when Jake arrives. Although Mira Augustine knows more about Na’vi culture than Jake, having grown up studying at Grace’s school, she ends up being chased through the woods by a thanator and gets separated from him. This is when she encounters Tsu’tey, and he needs to teach her to See….

Summary
Artemis James has been best friends with Jake and Tommy since they were kids. Growing up she was fascinated by Pandora, an alien planet. Every book and every newspaper article that even remotely mentioned Pandora or the Na'vi or the language was in her possession at one time or another.
She went into the military with Jake. Then Jake was paralyzed from the waist down and Artemis was left half blind, her eye loosing almost all vision after a deployment to Venezuela. Jake turned to alcohol; Artemis turned to back her books and continued her studies. Within a few years she went into the Avatar Program and is now getting sent to Pandora.
She wasn't ready for what was to come. . . and neither was Jake.
