You couldn't sleep no matter how much you tried. The storm outside certainly did not help, at that point you were just left with your thoughts.
Until a lightning struck your house, somehow not making any damages but causing you to hear multiple screams from the first floor of your newly moved in house.

“I found this notebook in Outertale. I think it belongs to Error.” The child explained as Ink began flipping through some of the pages. The protector stopped on a page in which he saw his name.
“Another fight with the damn ink stain. How does he always know where I am anyways?? I wouldn't be surprised if that weirdo was stalking me or something...”
Ink let out a snort as he continued reading.
“Oh yeah, this is definitely his.” He resisted the urge to read it all right then and looked back up at Core, “Say, could I keep this?”

Ink gets ahold of Error's diary and slowly revelations are unearthed not only about Error, but Ink aswell.

His outfit is suited for the frigid cold of the basement, layers upon layers of cloth cross-hatched across his body with a long scarf that drags along the frostbitten floor. He wears a rather soft-looking hoodie over his skull with a rigid, fake tiara stitched onto it. That and the long skirt he’s wearing are the only semblance of the Princess who was supposed to be in his place.
He stands straight, at attention like that of a guard, but that disguise of authority is ruined by the chains around his wrists and ankles.Series

Ink reflects on a habit that he picked up a long time ago. One that, if discovered, could cause worlds and timelines to collapse. After all, it's dangerous to interfere with a story, especially if it's to mess with a predetermined event.

Blue slammed the door shut the moment a parrot, of all things, tried to fly into his eye sockets. “OH, TORIEL! WHERE IN STAR’S NAME DID HE GET A PARROT FROM?!”
Now that the immediate danger was out of sight, Dream felt safe enough to approach. He cautiously walked up and helped Blue brush the orange glitter off his armour.
“I made the same mistake a day ago,” He said. “There was a tiger in my room!”
Blue choked.

At last, he grinned, face breaking out into a wide smile, eyelights shifting in colors and shapes faster than a carnival ride. He resisted the urge to do a little jig then and there, instead reaching back to draw Broomie.
He couldn't wait to show his friend what he’d created, just for him!

Papyrus was no stranger to strange and disturbing things; after all, there was a mysterious machine in his basement, his brother’s room was practically another dimension, and he didn’t even want to think about the dog shrine he’d once found when he was cleaning beneath the sink. (Just – how???) And that was just the strange and disturbing things that could be found inside his house! Outside of that, there were countless other bizarre people and things that he had seen throughout the Underground.
...So, you might have thought that The Great Papyrus would be so used to encountering unusual and horrifying phenomena by now that he wouldn’t even bat an eye (or eye socket, as the case may be) if he ran into one more strange and disturbing thing! And, well… usually, you would have been correct!
The thing was… The thing was. Usually… usually, the strange and disturbing things he found were not the lifeless body of his brother.
Ink runs out of paint in an AU that is an offshoot of the original Undertale universe. Papyrus is the one to find him, and has to work out what is wrong with this lifeless clone of his brother, and how to nurse him back to health.

Dream is distracted from his duties one day by a feeling of despair from somewhere in the multiverse -- but strangely enough, he isn't able to locate any positive feelings anywhere around... whoever it is, so he can't portal to them. Stranger still, Core Frisk isn't able to locate them, either. And so his only option is to reach out to Ink -- if, that is, Ink will be willing to listen, given that it's been a while since the two of them were on speaking terms. Based on their last conversation, he didn't exactly seem to care about the people within the AUs, after all.
What they find inside the AU is a place stranger than anything Dream had expected; and yet somehow, Ink's reaction is the most unexpected part of all.

Summary
It's been 4 years since monsters first surfaced and the increasing population of monsters have made humans in Ebott City unsettled. To counter this, the government issued a new project called the Dreamcatchers. Small shops will sell special dreamcatchers that contains a guardian, it is said that these guardians will protect you from nightmares and night terrors. These dreamcatchers are rumored to be imbued with monster magic and are perfectly safe for the citizens to use. But recently, more and more monsters are disappearing, and even though monsters have surfaced 4 times, the number of missing monsters still alerted the King and Queen of Monsters. Queen Toriel had asked Sans and Papyrus, who have also been suspicious of these missing monsters, to investigate the issue. Until, they too, lost contact with her.
You are a student in university studying to become a professional biologist until a package full of dreamcatchers arrived at your doorstep.
Who are you? What actually happened to Sans and Papyrus? Do you know more than you let on? And why are you now driving in the middle of the night to the cemetery to pick up twelve skeletal remains?

Sans, or Blue he'd soon be called, was going through his normal daily routine, watching the Sun as it came from nothingness, taking Chara to school, waking up Paps, all the normal stuff. But as he was coming home from buying some paint, something rather strange happened:
Something hit the top bucket, though he wasn’t entirely sure what. All it needed was the top of the 4 to be hit, and as Sans tried to rebalance it they all began to fall. Two hit the floor, one broke open.
It was almost as if the paint that was inside of it forced it open..Before Sans could fully react, tripping over a bucket behind him and knocking them over all over again, a short skeleton jumped out of the paint.
