    The kid looked him up and down, unbothered.

    “You’re trespassing.”

    Jason frowned at him and crossed his arms on instinct, getting defensive “It’s abandoned!” He knew he had no right to be here. But this kid sure didn’t either.

    “I live here,” the child replied simply.

    Jason stared at him. The mysterious child stared back.

    The Drake Manor has been empty for years. Everyone knows that. The couple who owned it vanished on one of their archaeological expeditions, leaving behind dust, shadows, and rumors of a ghost.
    Jason Todd doesn't believe in ghosts. But when Dick dares him to prove it, he finds something worse: a kid, alone, starving, barely surviving in the abandoned house next door. Tim doesn't need rescuing. He needs someone who'll come back.
    Jason can do that. Even if no one else believes he's worth trusting with anything.

    Tim knew many things, many facts and figures, this allowed Tim to account for almost anything.

    There were two facts Tim knew best:
    Number One- Batman wouldn't come if he cried.
    Number Two- Jason Todd was sat in front of him- wait, Jason?

    Tripped up on fear gas, Tim loses his role as Robin and isn't exactly sure what he was meant to do with his life now.

    Back from the dead and angry, Jason breaks into Titans Tower with a half-baked plan to confront his replacement. But Robin's not there, it's just Tim. Tim Drake. Tim Drake delirious from fear gas.

    Jason really hates playing babysitter. But if Batman isn't going to do it... well, Jason hears Europe is nice this time of year.

    “For the record, I totally didn’t send this,” Jason declares, resting his fists judgmentally on his hips and wrinkling the bridge of his nose as he takes in the envelope’s exterior details. “I wouldn’t embarrass myself by printing the address for Wayne Manor in Comic Sans. And I definitely wouldn’t use whatever fresh hell that return address is printed in.”

    Taking the bagged envelope in hand again, Bruce moves to the Batcomputer and pulls up the folder of fonts on the system. He glances between the envelope and the sample screen for the font he’d already suspected would be a match.

    But clocking the font name gives him a great deal of pause. “Jokerman,” he finally declares in a growl through clenched teeth.

    Tim, as it turns out, may not be Jack Drake’s son, but Bruce Wayne’s already got kids he picked out personally. That’s okay though, because Tim’s got a plan for how to deal with this revelation—it’s not like he needs acknowledgement from a second father that doesn’t want him, anyway.

    Jason shoved his jacket and helmet into his backpack with a sigh. He hadn't come up with a single way to properly reveal himself—for the second time. The first time, he'd been focused on making something poetic, dramatic, satisfying of it all. But with just a few words, it'd all been meaningless.

    World's Greatest Detective, my ass.

    Due to a series of mishaps, Bruce doesn't know that Jason is Red Hood, and subsequently, neither does anybody else in Gotham.
