Summary
Facing a magical crime wave in Denver, Colorado, Detective Arthur Pendragon is at a loss. He and his team, all injured in the last heist, were no closer to solving the case or finding the person or persons behind the robberies. When Morgana suggests that the perpetrators are using magic against them he is reluctant to accept that possibility, but there was no other explanation. When she mentions bringing in an expert, someone who knows and understands this kind of thing, Arthur rejects the idea immediately. Detective Merlin Ambrose was the last person he wanted to see again, much less be forced to work with him on this case. They'd had a major falling out eight years prior and hadn't spoken to each other in all that time. Yes, they needed help, but did it have to be Merlin? Would he even agree to help after what Arthur had done to him? He gets his answer when Merlin drops everything and leaves Las Vegas for Denver. Morgana orchestrates a plan that results in Merlin not only working with them on the case but living in Arthur's apartment, forcing the pair to face their past and fix their relationship.
