“I’ll handle my charting tomorrow, I’ll come in early.” his voice sounded thick, even to him. “I have to go.” he shouldered past Santos, heard Dana shouting his name, but his heart was racing and it felt like his veins were writhing with the blood racing through them and he managed to round one fucking corner towards the elevators when there was a hot, wide palm grabbing his shoulder and yanking him against a wall.

What if Robby’s guilt is strong enough to stop his doomed-ass sabbatical, due to the overwhelming responsibility he feels to 'atone for what he's done'?
What if Whitaker has a chronic condition and some really shitty history he never discussed with anyone, and Robby can't stop being a doctor, no matter how much he keeps trying?
