Summary
Akuryo; It might as well have been a name to him. Well, now it was, anyway.
All his life, Ren has known one simple fact: As a shapeshifter, he would never be welcome in the world, never seen as anything more than vermin at best, and hellspawn at worst.
But when his attempt to do the right thing lands him in more trouble than he realized, he decides that what seemed like a fatal mistake might be his last chance to leave everything behind. To start over.
Simple rules are set: Trust no one, stay alone, and stay alive. Then, once the year is over, live a quiet life as a normal human.
But as friendships form left and right, fears demand to be faced, and the world unravels at its seams, there's only one thing that's clear:
Ren thought he knew by now what fate had up its sleeve, but it seems it's decided instead that it won't be that simple.

Summary

After the tragic death of his father, Akira arrives in Tokyo feeling empty and wishing the roles had been reversed. With crime rates on the rise and no sign of slowing, he wonders if he'll die from a criminal or his own self-hatred first.
But before he knows it, an innocent field trip and a peculiar spider get him thrust into a world he couldn't ever prepare for, full of danger, criminals, and the question of who he really wants to be.

Summary
Peter Parker is of the (rather justified, if you ask him) opinion that his life is not in need of a soulmate right now. Add it all up, and it'd really just be better for everyone involved if there wasn't one, given the spidery alter-ego and the tragedy that follows him at every turn. Peter gets to keep his scientific scepticism, and they get to keep their life of relative safety, win-win right?
Unfortunately, Fate is not one to give a shit about any of that, and neither is Deadpool.
Or: another soulmates au, and Fate has its work cut out for it with these two idiots.

Akira blinked. “Huh?”
“Guinea pig.” Goro fixed him with a look, his expression completely unreadable, his voice quiet and emotionless. “Why does she call you that?
Something uneasy settled into Akira’s stomach as he looked into those maroon-brown eyes. “I, well, back during the Phantom Thieves, she and I had, yknow, a deal.”
“A deal,” Goro repeated impassively, turning away to look at the tile on the far side of the subway. If anything, he seemed even more stiff, face darkening. “One of your deals.”

Two years after the fall of the Metaverse, Akira and Goro get all dressed up to go see Goro's favorite musical, but a chance encounter with a certain doctor causes old wounds to resurface.
