“Yunjin! You need to relax, this isn’t as serious as you’re making it out to be!” Eunchae’s voice rings out, clearly panicked.
The girl in question yells back twice or maybe three times as loud. “Eunchae—! This is as serious as it gets; it doesn’t make any fucking sense for it to be like that. It just doesn’t make any sense! Why can’t it just tell us what it is! Why can’t the government explain!” She hears Yunjin knock something over. “My source? Just trust me, bro.”
“I’m home…” She ekks out.
It’s only a second before Yunjin rounds the corner holding a cardboard box. “You! You can help me! You need to help me prove Eunchae wrong.”
Her world gets very small when Yunjin shoves the cardboard centimeters from her face. “Birthday cake flavor shouldn’t exist. Birthday cake can be any flavor. So—! What fucking flavor is birthday cake?”
Kazuha backs up before looking at the cardboard. It’s a cake mix that happens to be birthday cake flavor. “Birthday cake flavor is just birthday cake; it’s its own flavor, like funfetti cake. It’s jus’ cake with, like, fucking sprinkles, I dunno. Why are we talking about this?"

Kazuha very nearly whimpers, her manners long gone now that Yunjin was spending the night.

As Kazuha walked in, a guy in a Mario costume bumped into her. "My bad- Oh! Sick costume! You and your girlfriend look really badass, dude" and with that he was gone.
She stared after him for a moment before shaking that comment off and kept walking to find the bar, must've been a mix-up. Kazuha pushed herself through the people and finally found the minibar, mixing herself a drink.
At least until someone tapped her shoulder and she turned around. A short girl in a barbie outfit smiled up at her, "You and your girlfriend look really good! I love the whole vampire king and queen theme!"
Okay so maybe not a mix-up after all.
