Jim Kirk hasn't been the kind of person to keep someone around for long. It's not that he hasn't had plenty of friends and partners over the years, it's the fact that he can't seem to fully let people get to know the real him. The only person in his life he seems to be able to depend upon is his longtime friend Bones, who is beginning to become concerned about his attachment issues. One night, Bones finally convinces Jim that making a reliable friend his own age would be good for him.
The only catch is Jim gets to pick whoever he wants.
And if he HAS to have a friend, he's not picking one that's gonna be easy.

Summary
Spock, fed up with Stonn's attempts to elicit an emotional response from him, lies and says he has a significant other. Stonn is skeptical of his claim and when they have another run in a few days later, calls Spock out on the apparent lie. Spock doesn't want to give his cousin the satisfaction of knowing he lied, grabs the nearest beauty he sees and introduces Stonn to his boyfriend, Jim. Jim goes along with it and finds it amusing. Stonn leaves, obliviously jealous of Spock's new boyfriend, but ends up telling the whole family about Jim.
Now the family insists that Spock bring Jim to a family gathering on Vulcan.
Spock has dug himself a hole but at least Jim agrees to help. Will they be able to keep the ruse going? (Perhaps) Will feelings get in the way of their planned break-up after the gathering? (Definitely) Will Spock's Vulcan family adore Jim? (Of course they will!)- Language:

Summary
Stranded on the planet Sigma Nox while searching for a missing away team, Spock and Kirk find themselves pitted against a disturbing native life form. With the captain out of commission on a regular basis and Spock struggling to preserve his stoicism, staying alive is difficult enough – but when a slim chance for escape surfaces, their resolve is truly put to the test. Together they must fight for survival in the heart of an alien jungle, and in the process, uncover the mystery of the planet’s past. Slow build K/S.
