A woman who has been dead for quite a while now...
How will Petey handle having his mother back, alive, and clearly eager to get to know him after being separated for so long?

Petey and his father move to Ohkay City a few years after the death of his mother. His father's never wanted a kid, but the law made him take him in.
Unfortunately for him, he looks like his mother, or so his father says when he's five sheets to the wind, dragging Petey by his hoodie into his lap.
At home, Petey suffers, but at his new school, he meets...this really cool, kind, caring pup that lets him be quiet and doesn't push. He counts the days on his paws when he can leave, and hopes nothing escalates.
Petey's life is on a screaming train ride however, and at the end of it is something he can't hide away from.
